Police Reports: Vehicles burglarized and scratched, irate customer, stolen school boulders, more

These reports were pulled from police summaries provided by departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe) during the week of Sunday-Saturday, April 4-10.
Wilmette:
There was one incident of Illinois Department of Employment Services — later referred to as IDES — fraud filed this week in Wilmette.
April 6
• A piece of equipment was reported stolen off a vehicle in the 3500 block of Lake Avenue.
• A resident reported her personal belongings were stolen from her unlocked vehicles in the 200 block of Golf Terrace. There was a similar incident also reported in the 600 block of Washington Street.
April 5
• Miscellaneous personal items were reported missing from a home in the 700 block of Chestnut Avenue.
March 31
• An unknown man was seen on video surveillance stealing items from Walgreens, 811 Green Bay Road.
Kenilworth:
There was no police activity reported in Kenilworth this week.
Winnetka:
There was one incident of IDES fraud filed March 24 in Winnetka.
April 3
• A parked car was damaged by an unknown object, which caused a large scratch on the driver’s side, overnight April 2-3 in the 1000 block of Gage Street. Repair costs are unknown.
March 31
• It was discovered an unknown offender used a victim’s information to access their American Express credit card to make more than $5,000 worth of unauthorized purchases from Nov. 14, 2020-Feb. 4.
March 30
• An unknown offender stole items, worth $39, between 12-1 p.m. from a store in The Laundry Mall, 552 Lincoln Ave.
Glencoe:
April 3
• A resident’s information was used to open a fraudulent T-Mobile account, but they did not suffer any loss.
Northfield:
There was one incident of IDES fraud filed March 31 in Northfield.
April 1
• Several landscape boulders were stolen from Christian Heritage Academy, 315 Waukegen Road. The boulders were worth $250. The case is under investigation.
March 31
• A resident reportedly received a suspicious phone call from an out-of-state caller who asked them about a business transaction. The resident didn’t recognize the caller or have any knowledge of the transaction.
March 30
• An irate customer caused a disturbance at 8 a.m. at Wags on Willow, 300 S. Happ Road. At the business owner’s request, officers contacted the customer and advised them they were no longer welcome there.
March 29
• At 10:49 a.m., officers responded to an office building in the 500 block of West Frontage Road where there was a report of a fight between the property manager and tenant. Neither party wished to sign a criminal complaint so the incident was only documented.
